Blues Folk Festival — Binic, leopard

The late-afternoon light catches in the bleached hair — a tousled platinum that almost burns in the middle of the crowd. Everything else bows: the lowered head, the eyes hidden behind aviators, the leopard print playing the wild animal while the posture says quiet withdrawal. Around him the festival goes on in blurred patches — caps, stage rigging, overexposed foliage. He alone is still, absorbed, as if stepping aside for a moment from the very noise he came for.
